L’avant-goût du Festival l’accordion plein pot

If there was ever an instrument associated with French culture, it has to be the accordion. Every year in the Pays d’Uzès (in Saint Quentin), an international accordion festival takes place. This year’s theme is the Arabian nights. To give you a taste of what is to come, they will be presenting at the Saint Quentin library (Médiathèque de St-Quentin-la-Poterie (Av. Léon Pintard), an arabo-andalousian concert. March 23 at 8:30 pm. 10€. Contact the Uzès tourist office or the cultural center of St-Quentin

Legend’s Valley concert nights

Have you heard of Legend’s Valley in Rochefort du Gard? Well then you are in for a treat. Every Friday and Saturday night this restaurant/concert hall offers up what they describe as an eclectic agenda, with selected tributes in a setting with an east coast vibe and quality acoustics. Friday night concerts start at 10PM and Saturday concerts at 9pm. So how about dinner and a concert? Reserve on their site. Reservations are highly suggested.
Friday March 8th – get yourself to funky town with “So Funky” playing best sounds of the 70’s and 80’s. Starts at 8pm
Saturday March 9th – Duo Drop: Flashback concert from this pop/folk duo revisiting the most beautiful titles in the universe
Friday March 15th – Muse Syndrome – Fans of Muse will be bemused with this tribute concert to the group Muse.
Saturday March 16th – Alain Signoret in concert with his repertoire of pop rock music from the States and the UK.

The last Sunday of the month, you can partake in a guided visit (in French), of the Musée du Petit Palais in Avignon. British Screen/ Écran Britanique in Nîmes

This British film festival in Nîmes will be celebrating its 22nd year! Running from the 8th till the 17th of March, the association will be presenting a number of British films, many of which have never aired in France. The films will be on at the Carré d’Art, Theatre Leger, and the Sémaphore in Nîmes. This year’s theme is British comedy and Brexit.

A farmer’s market and Second-hand market are held every Friday in Ave Jean-Jaurès in Nîmes from 7 am till 1 pm.

Vélorail

A Unique family-fun experience in the Cévennes. Pedal your way along the old train tracks and take in the scenery during this 100 minute journey in the Cévennes countryside. 2 low season departures per day at 10:55 am and 2:35 pm. Dates in March are as follows: Mach 1-3, 5-10, March 13, 16, 17, 20, 23, 24,27, & 30th. Departure is from the Thoiras station. 12€ for adults, and teens from age 13-17 and 8€ for children ages 5 to 12. Under 5 is free.
