Our Cheese & Wine Pairing class is available upon request. In this class you will sample some of the finest cheeses while learning the culture and the language of French cheese. It is said that the best pairing come from sticking to the same region in your choice of cheese & wine so our focus is on local French cheese & French wines.
There are over 365 cheeses and 27,000 wine producers in France. The largest wine producing region is ours, Occitanie (formerly Languedoc-Roussillon). No French meal is ever complete without a cheese course and the French certainly take their cheese seriously from its classifications to regional specificities. With the guidance of our sommelier you will become a pro when it comes to cheese selection as you gain a better understanding of how affinage is critical to obtaining the best cheese.
We will taste a variety of local French cheeses paired with local French wines and learn the proper methods of serving, conserving and appreciating French cheeses all in a fun, dynamic setting.
