Come & explore our local French markets every Wednesday in Uzès & partake in an important part of French culture. Learn how to select the freshest ingredients for wonderful and delicious Mediterranean French recipes. Join us!


We will start off at the market, selecting the freshest fish & seafood. No need to be afraid of fish. We’ll assist you to create the perfect fish stock, bouillabaisse and other Mediterranean fish recipes in a very hands-on French cooking class experience.


Join us for a hands-on French cooking lesson where we revisit some of the great French bistro classics with a modern touch. you’ll prepare entrée, plat, & dessert. After the lesson, you’ll sit down and enjoy a 3-course lunch with wine.


With a good base, you can make a great stock. In this class, you will learn all about the mother sauces. You will make stocks, sauces for meat, fish, & vegetables. From this base of mother sauces, you will be able to make countless variations.


Become more proficient in the kitchen by improving your knife skills. This class will help you become more at ease with your knife. We will be chopping, mincing, dicing, filleting and deboning fish, poultry, & fruits and vegetables. Light lunch is included.


Pâte brisée, pâte sablé, pâte feuillété, pâte sucré, and more. This class will take you through the basics of French pastry dough making. Learn how to consistently make the perfect dough. Savory & sweet doughs, as well as a basic bread dough, are included.


Come learn delicious & decadent desserts renowned in the South of France. Think fruits, nuts, and olive oil. In this class we will delve into desserts such as the nougat glacé, the fougasse d’aigues mortes and use ingredients like safran & lavender.


Learn to make bread at home like a pro. We’ll teach you the technics you need to beef up your bread making skills. This 3-day Bread master class is perfect for anyone who would like to learn how to make, maintain and use a starter. Open to bakers of all levels.


Truffle Classes


The black truffle is the star of this special French cooking class in Uzès. Come and participate in an exception hands-on cooking classes focused on the truffle. Not just a cooking class but also a wine tasting and chance to experience the truffle hunt.

Discover the art of French cooking in France

Exploring the food culture of France is a great way to get to know the French and to develop a palette for and appreciation of all the country has to offer. It is with this idea in mind – a Taste of France, a love of Cooking and a desire to share French culture with visitors that our French cooking school in Provence was born.

Chef Eric Fraudeau through his school, Cook’n With Class has been offering cooking classes in France since 2007. It all started in Paris. Chef Eric created this second cooking class in the South of France in a region rich for both its food and wine, to continue to share his passion for cooking with travelers like you. Through our French cooking classes in Uzès, you will explore French cuisine, specifically Mediterranean and Provencal with French market visits, local cheese & wine tastings & the occasional anecdotes.

Because we think, knowing the sources of your food and learning to eat with the seasons is the start to a healthier and more conscious way of living, and because we love the markets as much as you do, our French cooking classes start off with a local FRENCH MARKET TOUR with your French Chef. We return to the school for a HANDS-ON French cooking experience. We’ll dine together over a 4-course meal including French wine, French cheese & of course, French bread.  Don’t worry, we won’t forget the Apéro before the meal to reward ourselves for a job well done.

You will be introduced to a number of French recipes, inspired both by the season’s bounty and your personal tastes and will be mastering French cooking in no time. All our classes are taught in English, but can also be offered in French or Spanish by request.

The French Market classes are just one of several French cooking classes in France that we offer you in Uzès.
